IMPACT Bid Leader – People and Investments Sales Enablement

About the role

Marsh People and Investments is looking for a Bid Leader to strengthen its pursuit and bid capability across the Pacific. The role is senior leadership, combining strategic thinking, leadership, people management and executive communication to deliver the firm's value proposition to clients and prospects. It is based in Sydney or Melbourne and is hybrid, with at least three days a week in the office.

Key responsibilities

• Establish the overall bid strategy, approach and governance for significant and priority opportunities.
• Assess opportunities and recommend where bid resources should be invested, and define bid/no-bid criteria.
• Lead the development of win strategies, including client priorities, competitive positioning, differentiators and value proposition.
• Own the bid process from opportunity qualification through to submission, and where relevant presentation and negotiation.
• Ensure submissions are compelling, client-centric, consistent and commercially robust.
• Partner with Client Managers, Sales Leaders and business leaders to understand the client and opportunity, and turn recurring client needs into scalable propositions and bid assets.
• Build a high-performing bid function able to sustain quality and pace across a growing pipeline.

Required profile

• 15+ years in a professional services environment, ideally in investment or super sales or proposal management.
• Broad-based experience in marketing and/or sales and management.
• Demonstrable leadership experience in large, complex organisations and relationship management at C-Suite level.
• Ability to interface regularly with firm leadership and influence, and to manage and coach a team through multiple bids at once.
