Head of People & Culture

About the role

Reporting to the CEO, you will lead both the strategic and operational delivery of the People & Culture function. This role blends leadership of the P&C team with hands‑on responsibility for HR operations, policy, advisory work and talent management.

Key responsibilities

• Own the P&C strategy, set OKRs and advise the CEO on organisational design and workforce risk.
• Evolve performance‑management processes to drive ownership and high performance while caring for people.
• Lead quarterly talent management, career pathways, succession planning and leadership development programmes.
• Oversee Talent Acquisition, partner with senior leaders on workforce planning and shape the employer brand.
• Champion AI adoption within P&C and across the business, ensuring safe and compliant use.
• Maintain policies, remuneration reviews, salary banding and statutory reporting.

Required profile

• 5+ years in HR or People & Culture management, combining team leadership with hands‑on delivery.
• Proven track record building accountable, high‑performance cultures that remain people‑first.
• Strong knowledge of the employee lifecycle, modern awards and Australian employment legislation.
• Excellent communication, data‑driven decision‑making and coaching ability at all levels.

Required skills

• HRIS and ATS platforms (experience with Employment Hero is a plus).
• Learning management systems.
• AI tools for HR processes.
