Head of People & Culture (HR Leader)

About the role

This senior management position combines strategic oversight with hands‑on tactical execution, leading People & Culture for a national workforce of over 1,000 employees. Based in the Western Australian head office, the role works closely with the CEO and leadership team to shape culture, capability and performance during a period of rapid growth.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement a people strategy that translates into improved recruitment, onboarding, training, development and recognition across a geographically dispersed workforce.
• Strengthen recruitment pipelines, leadership capability, learning and development programmes, and performance frameworks to support acquisitions, new‑site openings and organic expansion.
• Ensure employment compliance and modern award interpretation while maintaining consistent people practices nationwide.
• Drive a high‑performing, hospitable and fun culture, embedding principles of putting people first, continuous improvement and collective strength.

Required profile

• Significant senior HR leadership experience in a fast‑paced, multi‑site environment with large frontline workforces.
• Commercially minded, pragmatic and hands‑on approach to HR challenges.
• Progressive mindset, comfortable embracing new practices, technology and AI to improve efficiency and insight.
• Ability to operate at scale and complexity while providing practical support to managers.
