Head of People and Culture

About the role

Yarra Valley Grammar is seeking an inaugural Head of People and Culture to build and lead a strategic People and Culture function. Reporting to the Principal and working with the Executive team, you will shape workforce planning, organisational design, leadership capability and culture for the future.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement People & Culture strategy, workforce planning and organisational design.
• Lead culture, engagement and employee wellbeing initiatives.
• Oversee talent acquisition, development, retention and succession planning.
• Manage industrial and employee relations, enterprise bargaining, policy and compliance.
• Direct HR systems, analytics, remuneration and workforce insights.

Required profile

• 10+ years progressive HR leadership experience in complex organisations.
• Proven ability to develop and execute organisation‑wide people strategies.
• Strong credibility in employment law, industrial relations and change management.
• Excellent communication, influencing and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Commitment to building high‑performing, people‑centred workplaces.
