Payroll Specialist

About the role

Saputo is seeking an experienced Payroll Specialist to join its payroll team, processing weekly and fortnightly payroll for around 400 employees across multiple manufacturing sites. You will ensure accurate, timely payments while supporting employees and stakeholders in a fast‑paced environment.

Key responsibilities

• End‑to‑end processing of weekly and fortnightly payroll for a wages‑based workforce.
• Interpret Enterprise Bargaining Agreements and payroll legislation to ensure correct payments.
• Manage payroll reconciliations, PAYG, superannuation and statutory reporting.
• Review payroll calculations, leave balances and handle payroll exceptions.
• Respond to payroll queries and provide high‑level customer service.
• Produce payroll reports and analyse data using Excel.
• Support payroll audits, compliance activities and system implementation projects.

Required profile

• Proven experience processing end‑to‑end payroll in a medium to large organisation.
• Strong knowledge of payroll legislation, awards and Enterprise Bargaining Agreements.
• Experience with Chris21/iChris payroll systems and other time‑and‑attendance platforms.
• Excellent attention to detail, organisational skills and ability to meet deadlines.
• Collaborative mindset and willingness to support team members during critical periods.
