Head of Facilities Management

About the role

This senior position leads the Facilities Management function for HOYTS’ cinema portfolio across Australia and New Zealand, as well as the Sydney Support Office. The role ensures safe, reliable and high‑quality environments for guests while supporting operational efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership to the FM team, driving proactive asset maintenance, statutory compliance and risk management.
• Oversee end‑to‑end facilities services including planned and reactive maintenance, essential services, asset lifecycle planning and contractor performance.
• Manage R&M and capex budgets, WHS compliance, and reporting across the multi‑site portfolio.
• Collaborate with Operations, Property, Projects, Finance, Technology, landlords and external service providers to keep sites safe, compliant and operationally ready.
• Develop and maintain FM systems, processes, dashboards and reporting tools to enable cinema teams to focus on the guest experience.
• Lead, develop and mentor the Facilities Management team across Australia and New Zealand.
• Foster partnership‑based relationships with key suppliers while maintaining strong commercial controls.

Required profile

• Significant experience managing facilities across a large multi‑site portfolio, preferably in retail, leisure or hospitality.
• Proven leadership ability with a track record of building high‑performing teams.
• Deep knowledge of planned and reactive maintenance, essential services, statutory compliance, contractor management, WHS, risk management, budgeting and reporting.
