Grounds & Maintenance Attendant

About the role

NRMA Parks & Resorts runs holiday accommodation ranging from campsites to luxury resorts, including the Strahan resort with 132 guest rooms, four food and beverage outlets and the Gordon River Cruises experience. This full-time role reports to the Maintenance Supervisor and keeps the property running smoothly, with flexibility to work weekends as required. Staff accommodation is available.

Key responsibilities

• Tackle incidental maintenance repairs across rooms, amenities and facilities
• Provide friendly, on-the-spot customer service for in-room fixes
• Work on building projects, major repairs, renovations and mechanical tasks, from painting and basic plumbing to hardware replacements
• Keep the grounds and gardens looking their best

Required profile

• Reputation for good customer service and the ability to engage with guests
• Strong time management and attention to detail
• Ability to follow directions for daily tasks and expectations
• Proven property maintenance experience and confidence with power tools
• Ability to stay calm under pressure and work independently
• Solid knowledge of safe working procedures
• Hands-on attitude, energy, enthusiasm and a reasonable level of fitness

Required skills

• Medium rigid truck licence (highly desirable)
• Forklift licence (highly desirable)
