Grader Operator – Civil Earthworks

About the role

The Grader Operator will join Haros & Sons Earthmoving’s Adelaide team to operate grader machinery on civil earthworks projects. This full‑time, on‑site position involves shaping and maintaining roadways, pads and construction sites to precise levels while supporting project timelines.

Key responsibilities

• Perform pre‑start checks and operate the grader safely in accordance with WHS regulations.
• Cut, trim, shape and grade surfaces to the specifications shown on civil drawings and plans.
• Use GPS or laser‑guidance systems where required to achieve accurate grades.
• Coordinate with supervisors, engineers and other plant operators to ensure smooth site operations.
• Maintain the grader in good working condition and report any issues promptly.
• Adhere to safety, environmental and quality standards on a daily basis.

Required profile

• Proven experience operating graders in civil construction or earthmoving environments.
• Ability to read and interpret civil drawings, site plans and job specifications.
• Commitment to safe work practices and completion of pre‑start checks.
• Valid driver’s licence and relevant plant operator tickets (grader ticket, White Card preferred).
• Strong work ethic, attention to detail and ability to work in varying outdoor conditions.
