About the role

Bailey Nelson is seeking a Full‑Time Optometrist for its Newtown store on a 15‑month parental‑leave fixed‑term contract, with the potential to continue permanently. You will deliver top‑quality eye care and help achieve store goals.

Key responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive eye examinations and deliver the best possible eyecare experience to customers.
• Meet performance targets and contribute to store growth through both clinic and retail activities.
• Manage time and operational duties efficiently without compromising customer service.
• Collaborate with the Store Manager to inspire, train and develop the team.

Required profile

• 2+ years experience as an Optometrist in a busy store/clinic with 20‑minute testing.
• Passion for creating outstanding customer experiences and solving eyecare needs.
• Energetic, adaptable to a fast‑paced environment and able to lead by example.
• Strong leadership mindset, working closely with the Store Manager.
• Effective time‑management and operational skills.
• Team‑oriented with a drive to achieve results.

Required skills

• Proficiency with OPTOS equipment.
