Full‑Time Cabinet Maker in Scoresby

About the role

Jardan is seeking full‑time Cabinet Makers to join its Production Team in Scoresby, Melbourne. The role involves constructing, assembling and finishing custom‑built furniture in a collaborative, sustainable manufacturing environment.

Key responsibilities

• Construct, assemble and alter custom‑built furniture such as tables, chairs, buffets, couch frames and stools.
• Read, produce and interpret job sheets, drawings and cutting lists.
• Operate a range of hand tools and machinery including band saws, docking saws, thicknessers, routers, bench grinders and laser levelling devices.
• Use power tools and pneumatic equipment such as electric/battery drills, power saws, sanders, planners and nail guns.
• Perform polishing, oiling, measurements, calculations and set‑up of joining and sawing machines.
• Construct jigs and fixtures and produce angled or curved furniture pieces.

Required profile

• Ability to work Monday‑Thursday 6:30 am‑3:00 pm and Friday 6:30 am‑12:30 pm.
• Willingness to undertake overtime as required.
• Reporting to the Leading Hand and following safety and quality standards.

Required skills

• Experience with cabinet‑making hand tools.
• Proficiency operating band saws, docking saws, thicknessers, routers and bench grinders.
• Competence using electric/battery drills, power saws, sanders, planners and laser levelling devices.
• Knowledge of pneumatic tools such as nail guns.
• Ability to perform polishing, oiling and precise measurements.
