Fleet Operations Specialist (Queensland)

About the role

We are seeking a motivated Fleet Operations Specialist to join Halter’s Australian team. You will be one of the first hardware technicians on the ground, responsible for ensuring our collar and tower infrastructure operates flawlessly for cattle producers across Queensland.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and repair on‑farm hardware infrastructure, including collars and communication towers.
• Diagnose technical issues in the field and relay findings to product and engineering teams.
• Deploy hardware to new producers, support installations and provide on‑site troubleshooting.
• Collect field insights and data to inform product improvements.
• Participate in a global on‑call roster to address tower‑related incidents promptly.
• Analyse operational data to identify trends and optimise processes.

Required profile

• Hands‑on attitude with a strong sense of ownership.
• Ability to work independently in remote farm environments.
• Excellent communication skills for reporting findings to cross‑functional teams.
• Willingness to travel across Queensland and be on‑call as needed.

Required skills

• Experience with hardware installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
• Basic data collection and analysis capabilities.
• Familiarity with field‑based technical support.
