Fixed Plant Operator – Cement Production

About the role

Cockburn Cement is looking for a safety‑focused Fixed Plant Operator to run a continuous production plant that converts Quicklime into Milk of Lime. You will ensure safe, efficient operation, product quality and timely order fulfilment.

Key responsibilities

• Operate the plant safely in line with Adbri standards, site procedures and regulations.
• Convert Quicklime through hydration to produce Milk of Lime and load bulk tankers.
• Conduct product sampling, basic quality testing and maintain accurate operational records.
• Monitor performance, troubleshoot equipment or process issues and support continuous improvement.
• Liaise with customer service to meet order and delivery requirements and monitor stock levels.

Required profile

• Valid WA Driver’s Licence.
• Experience operating fixed plant, batching plant or similar heavy‑industrial equipment.
• Strong commitment to workplace health and safety.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and ability to perform simple repairs.
• First Aid Certificate including LV Rescue and CPR.

Required skills

• Proficiency with MS Office and Excel.
• Forklift operation (valid licence preferred).
• Confined Space Entry certification.
• Working Safely at Heights certification.
• Equipment and Process Isolation training.
