Quince is seeking a Materials Sourcing Manager focused on wool to develop and execute a procurement strategy that balances cost, quality, and sustainability across its product range.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute a comprehensive wool procurement strategy optimizing cost, quality, and sustainability.
• Build and expand a global network of wool suppliers, including tanneries and specialty producers.
• Partner with Product Development and Merchandising to maintain a central wool materials library.
• Analyze global wool market trends, price volatility, and regulatory risks to inform sourcing decisions.
• Negotiate favorable terms, establish long‑term partnerships, and drive value across the supply chain.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to align material procurement with product requirements.
• Identify cost‑saving, innovation, and efficiency opportunities throughout the wool value chain.
• Implement risk mitigation strategies such as multi‑sourcing and forward purchasing.
• Lead supplier performance management to ensure quality, ethical labor standards, and environmental compliance.
• Provide regular reporting on procurement performance, cost savings, and market conditions.

Required profile

• Proven experience in materials procurement or sourcing with a focus on wool.
• Deep understanding of the wool value chain, including raw sourcing, tanning, finishing, and grading.
• Strong professional network or knowledge of major wool market players.
• Expertise in analyzing and mitigating wool price volatility and commodity risk.
• Demonstrated success in cost reduction and process optimization.
• Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and decision‑making abilities.
