Quality & Operational Excellence Lead

About the role

The Quality & OpEx Lead will oversee quality systems, audits, and continuous improvement initiatives for Netafim Australia & New Zealand. This senior position drives compliance with ISO standards and embeds Lean Six Sigma practices across manufacturing sites.

Key responsibilities

• Administer ISO 9001 quality system and ensure compliance with Netafim Australia Management System (NAMS) and other relevant standards.
• Plan, execute and close internal and external audits, managing corrective actions and preventive measures.
• Develop and implement EHS standards, occupational health & safety procedures, and support OHS activities.
• Lead operational excellence initiatives, applying Lean Six Sigma tools such as Kaizen, 5S, TPM, SPC, and OMA.
• Coordinate technical problem‑solving for customer complaints, incident reports, and product failures, including SAP notifications.
• Collect, analyse and present quality metrics (DPPM, COPQ, scrap) to drive waste reduction and process improvement.
• Maintain the offline quality laboratory, ensure equipment calibration, and oversee product approvals and SAP QA module usage.

Required profile

• Extensive experience managing ISO‑aligned quality management systems (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001).
• Proven ability to lead Lean Six Sigma and continuous improvement programmes in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong analytical skills to interpret audit data, quality metrics and drive corrective actions.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement, influencing cross‑functional teams without direct authority.
