Financial Services Engineer (Remote)

About the role

A full-time remote Financial Services Engineer is sought to support financial operations, maintain accurate records, reconcile accounts and ensure compliance. The role works closely with directors and project managers to give insight into financial health and help with business decisions. It suits someone starting their career who has a strong technical mindset, good problem-solving skills and a solid understanding of financial operations and bookkeeping.

Key responsibilities

• Operate and optimise financial operations using Workbench, Xero and other relevant tools.
• Run and refine accounts payable, receivable and general bookkeeping.
• Assess daily payment schedules and process payments.
• Administer payroll, timesheets, superannuation and CoInvest processing.
• Manage trade accounts, applications and company vehicle expenditures.
• Prepare cashflow models for general business and specific financial institutions.
• Help directors with monthly project cost reports and financial reviews.
• Analyse financial data for live and estimated construction projects.
• Work with project managers on cashflow forecasts and strategic analysis.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• Comfortable working Australian business hours.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work autonomously.
