Client Services Manager - Tax & Business Services

About the role

A growing public practice accounting firm is seeking an experienced Client Services Manager for its Tax & Business Services team. This is a senior client-facing role that manages a portfolio of clients, oversees the delivery of accounting and taxation services, and leads and mentors a team of professionals.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the primary point of contact for a portfolio of business clients and deliver proactive accounting, taxation and business advisory services
• Build long-term client relationships and identify value-added services such as business structuring, succession planning and financial planning
• Work directly with a Director to manage and develop the client base
• Review and finalise financial statements, income tax returns, BAS, FBT and related compliance work, ensuring compliance with Australian Accounting Standards, ATO requirements and relevant legislation
• Keep up to date with tax law, accounting standards and regulatory changes, and provide technical guidance to team members
• Supervise and review the work of accountants and senior accountants, mentor and coach team members, and help with recruitment, performance reviews and training
• Assist Directors with workflow management, resource allocation, business development and external representation, and contribute to quality assurance and process improvement

Required profile

• CA or CPA qualification
• Significant experience in public practice accounting
• Proven ability to manage client relationships at a senior level
• Confident, commercially minded and able to build client relationships and lead teams
