Financial Analyst

About the role

Bentleys Queensland is seeking a commercially minded Financial Analyst to join its Finance team. You will work closely with the Finance Manager and business stakeholders to turn financial data into actionable commercial insights.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate annual budgets and periodic forecasting across the business.
• Develop financial models and analyse performance against budget, forecast and prior periods.
• Prepare management reports, dashboards and commentary to support strategic decisions.
• Partner with department leaders to understand operational drivers, opportunities and risks.
• Support month‑end reporting, reconciliations and financial close activities.
• Assist with statutory compliance, payroll support and treasury activities.
• Contribute to finance projects, system enhancements and process improvements.

Required profile

• Degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce or related discipline.
• CA or CPA qualification (or progressing towards).
• Experience in financial analysis, management accounting, budgeting or forecasting.
• Strong analytical and commercial mindset with attention to detail.
• Ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders.

Required skills

• Advanced Microsoft Excel capability.
• Financial modelling and variance analysis.
• Experience with financial reporting systems.
