Financial Accountant

About the role

Join a high‑growth global organisation as a Financial Accountant reporting to the Financial Controller. You will drive month‑end, financial reporting, compliance and system improvements while gaining exposure to both domestic and international reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and deliver accurate financial reporting across a complex, multi‑entity structure.
• Support month‑end and year‑end close processes.
• Prepare, review and analyse financial reports and reconciliations.
• Undertake detailed general ledger reviews.
• Partner with financial and non‑financial stakeholders to ensure timely reporting outcomes.
• Process sales and inventory reporting within group reporting systems.
• Lead and coordinate annual audit activities, including statutory financial statements and external auditor engagement.
• Contribute to finance transformation, process improvement and continuous improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• CA/CPA qualification (or nearing completion).
• First or second mover seeking greater challenge and diversity.
• Proven experience in financial accounting and statutory reporting.
• Strong understanding of Australian accounting standards and IFRS.
• Advanced Excel skills and strong capability with SAP (preferred).
• Excellent communication skills across all business levels.
• Continuous‑improvement mindset with a desire to enhance processes and controls.
• Ability to adapt in a dynamic environment and manage competing priorities.
