Finance Business Partner

About the role

The Finance Business Partner will work closely with Serco’s businesses to deliver timely, accurate, and relevant financial information that supports informed decision‑making across a diverse portfolio of contracts.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as a trusted and accessible point of contact for the Commercial Finance team and General Managers.
• Support the month‑end close process across assigned contracts, ensuring timelines and deliverables are met.
• Maintain the integrity of financial records through forecasts, budgets, monthly reporting, reconciliations and compliance packs.
• Provide ad‑hoc reporting and analysis to aid business decision‑making.
• Champion collaboration across virtual teams and support the Finance Operating Model.
• Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes and support audit requirements.

Required profile

• An appropriate professional qualification such as CA, CPA or equivalent, or qualification by experience.
• Strong commercial acumen and the ability to link financial and non‑financial value drivers.
• Advanced Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel, with proficiency in SAP and experience with data‑warehouse tools.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Proven ability to build trusted relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
