Engineering Team Manager

About the role

We are seeking an Engineering Team Manager to lead our Life Sciences division. Reporting to the Industry Manager – Life Sciences, you will combine hands‑on engineering work with people leadership to drive growth, client success and high‑quality project delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, coach and develop a high‑performing engineering team, fostering a culture of safety, quality and continuous improvement.
• Remain actively involved in project delivery, providing engineering, project management and technical leadership on key client engagements.
• Oversee complex technical programmes in highly regulated, quality‑critical environments, ensuring delivery meets regulatory and client standards.
• Partner with the Industry Manager to identify new business opportunities, expand client relationships and achieve division growth targets.
• Manage a portfolio of projects, aligning delivery with client expectations, commercial objectives and performance metrics.
• Maintain strong client relationships, acting as trusted advisor and supporting business development and proposal activities.
• Plan resources and monitor team utilisation to match current and future project demand.

Required profile

• Tertiary qualification in Engineering (Process, Chemical, Mechanical or related discipline).
• Hands‑on, collaborative leadership style with proven experience delivering complex engineering projects in pharmaceutical, biotechnology or other highly regulated manufacturing environments.
• Commercial mindset with ability to identify emerging opportunities and expand service offerings.
