Director of Sales - Pre-Opening Hotel

About the role

Veriu Adelaide is the group's first hotel in South Australia and its largest property, a 191-key hotel opening early 2027 in the CBD. The Director of Sales identifies, pursues and secures corporate accounts (B2B) during the pre-opening and ramp-up phases, partnering closely with the General Manager to reach strategic goals in a new, undersupplied market.

Key responsibilities

• Drive direct corporate sales (B2B) to increase production and generate new corporate relationships
• Navigate and secure opportunities linked to major projects and institutions
• Cold call, knock on doors, generate new leads and build a strong corporate pipeline
• Increase brand awareness by strengthening existing relationships and building new ones
• Conduct site inspections, client visits and attend industry events
• Develop and implement sales plans and a targeted approach to exceed targets
• Work with the operations team so they understand their role in spotting sales opportunities

Required profile

• Approved Australian working rights (citizenship, permanent residency or visa with approved working rights)
• Demonstrated B2B sales experience in hotels, TMCs or similar
• Ability to account manage, optimise production and resolve objections or complaints
• Attention to detail, written and verbal communication, and strategic decision-making
• Collaborative team player with a genuine drive to achieve
