Director of MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences & Events)

About the role

Minor Hotels is seeking a commercially driven and strategic Director of MICE to lead and grow its Meetings, Incentives, Conferences and Events portfolio across Australia and New Zealand. This senior leadership position will shape sales strategy, build high‑performing teams and position the brand as a premier MICE destination.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement annual MICE sales plans aligned with market trends and business objectives.
• Analyse market conditions, tourism forecasts and sales mix to identify growth opportunities.
• Monitor competitor activity and adjust strategies to maintain competitive positioning.
• Lead the launch and positioning of new properties within the MICE market.
• Build and manage partnerships with PCOs, corporate clients and industry stakeholders.
• Drive MICE initiatives, including rewards programmes and supplier partnerships.
• Deliver regular performance reporting and collaborate with Marketing, Revenue and F&B teams.
• Represent Minor Hotels at trade shows, industry events and networking opportunities.

Required profile

• Commercially driven and strategic mindset with proven senior sales leadership experience.
• Strong track record in growing MICE revenue across hotel portfolios.
• Excellent relationship‑building skills with corporate clients, PCOs and industry partners.
• Ability to collaborate with Revenue Managers, General Managers and Sales teams.
