About the role

Join a dynamic, inclusive team at The Y Canberra Region to support high‑quality early childhood education in Strathnairn. You will help create safe, inclusive and engaging learning environments where every child can thrive.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, implement and evaluate programs aligned with EYLF, NQF and NQS.
• Supervise children, build relationships with families and colleagues, and document learning.
• Promote health, safety and wellbeing, maintaining a welcoming environment.
• Provide leadership to the room team in the Lead Educator’s absence.

Required profile

• Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care (ACECA‑approved).
• Full‑time availability Monday‑Friday, 7.6‑hour shifts between 7:00 am and 6:00 pm.
• Experience in the early childhood education and care sector.
• Current ACT Working with Vulnerable People registration or willingness to obtain.

Required skills

• Strong written and verbal communication.
• Sound knowledge of EYLF, NQF and NQS.
