Lecturer in Physiotherapy (Musculoskeletal or Neurological)

About the role

The University of Canberra seeks two Education‑Focused Lecturers in Physiotherapy to shape future health professionals while staying connected to clinical practice and research. One role focuses on Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy and the other on Neurological Physiotherapy.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, deliver and evaluate undergraduate and postgraduate accredited physiotherapy curricula.
• Prepare and deliver lectures, tutorials, practical classes, workshops and professional placement activities.
• Support student learning, engagement and wellbeing.
• Contribute to research and scholarly activities aligned with the Discipline's strategic priorities.

Required profile

• Current AHPRA registration as a Physiotherapist (and ACT vulnerable‑people registration).
• Expertise in person‑centred, inclusive physiotherapy practice.
• Experience managing complex clients across diverse clinical settings.
• Honours to PhD or at least 5 years clinical experience in the relevant specialty (Musculoskeletal or Neurological).
• Experience supervising, mentoring or delivering clinical education to students or early‑career clinicians.

Required skills

• Design and delivery of evidence‑based clinical learning aligned with AHPRA standards.
• Research design, critical appraisal and basic statistical methods.
