Design Manager – Water Digital Design

About the role

Mott MacDonald’s Water team is seeking a Design Manager to lead digital design for water, wastewater, network and treatment projects in South Australia. The role supports planning, design and delivery for SA Water, addressing climate resilience, population growth and ageing infrastructure.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee and coordinate a team of digital designers, managing program, budget and compliance with client and industry standards.
• Collaborate with partner design and construction organisations and provide technical support to local and offshore delivery teams.
• Mentor junior digital designers and contribute construction and commissioning expertise to digital design.
• Maintain strong relationships with internal and external clients and support new bid opportunities.

Required profile

• Diploma of Engineering or Associate Degree in Civil Engineering (minimum).
• Experience delivering water and wastewater projects across networks and treatment using digital design tools.
• Knowledge of Australian standards, including WSAA and SEQ amendments.
• Motivation to take on a management or leadership role.

Required skills

• Civil 3D, Revit, 12D Model.
• ProjectWise, BIM360, ACC, Synergy 12D for CDE management.
• Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project).
