Dental Assistant / Receptionist

About the role

This full‑time position combines chair‑side dental assisting with occasional reception duties at Maven Dental Burnside. You will work closely with dentists, a hygienist, and the front‑office team to deliver high‑quality patient care in a friendly, growing practice.

Key responsibilities

• Provide chair‑side assistance for general, restorative and implant procedures.
• Prepare treatment rooms, sterilise instruments and follow infection‑control protocols.
• Welcome patients, manage check‑in/check‑out, schedule appointments and handle phone enquiries.
• Process payments, HICAPS claims and health‑fund enquiries, and maintain accurate patient records.

Required profile

• Previous experience as a Dental Assistant and/or a Certificate III in Dental Assisting (or higher).
• Knowledge of infection control and sterilisation standards.
• Warm, welcoming manner with clear communication skills.
• Working With Children Check (or willingness to obtain one).

Required skills

• Dental assisting techniques.
• Infection control and instrument sterilisation.
• Use of dental practice management software (desirable).
