Data Architect

About the role

intelia, an Australian-owned consulting business offering Data Analytics, Data Strategy & Governance, Cloud Solutions and Intelligent Automation, is looking for a Data Architect. You will drive the data architecture strategy and platform design, define data architecture patterns and lead data projects across data warehousing, advanced analytics, data centre migration and large-scale integration.

Key responsibilities

• Drive the data architecture strategy and platform design with solution owners and business stakeholders
• Define data architecture patterns covering performance, security, data integrity and end-user experience
• Lead implementation of data projects across data warehousing, advanced analytics, data centre migration and large-scale integration
• Implement data governance processes and tools to improve data quality and user trust
• Use cloud-scale data services across multiple major cloud vendors
• Collaborate with data engineers, analysts and business stakeholders to plan and execute the data strategy
• Ensure designs are consistent with design team standards and work with cross-program and platform teams

Required profile

• Experience working on cloud platforms, preferably GCP
• Strong working knowledge of Google Cloud Platform or other cloud platforms, Databricks, Confluent, dbt, Collibra, Fivetran, SQL and Python
• Great communicator and confident presenter
• Understanding of commercial drivers that affect project solutions
