Customer Service Officer

About the role

InfraBuild Recycling, a 2026 AFR BOSS Best Places to Work Gold Winner and World Steel Association Sustainability Champion, is hiring a Customer Service Officer in Hexham, NSW. The officer supports the InfraBuild Recycling business by delivering excellent customer service, covering general accounts management, training records and maintenance orders, and backfilling the other Customer Service Officer role during periods of leave. It is a permanent part-time position, 9.30am to 4pm Monday to Friday, with additional hours up to full-time to cover leave.

Key responsibilities

• Provide friendly and professional customer service
• Maintain an organised, professional and welcoming customer service desk area
• Process payments accurately and efficiently
• Answer and direct incoming phone calls and enquiries, and respond to emails
• Complete basic data entry and administrative tasks
• Maintain a high level of professionalism and confidentiality

Required profile

• Previous experience in a fast-paced customer service role
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
• Positive, proactive attitude and ability to multi-task
• Passion for customer service and attention to detail

Required skills

• Use of computer software, including Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook and Word)
