Corporate & Commercial Lawyer – Sydney

About the role

Join a well‑established national commercial law firm in Sydney as a Corporate & Commercial Lawyer. You will work within a collaborative team delivering sophisticated transactional, advisory and governance services to Australian and international organisations across private and public sectors.

Key responsibilities

• Advise on private mergers, acquisitions, business sales and corporate restructures.
• Draft, review and negotiate a wide range of commercial agreements.
• Provide corporate governance, compliance and regulatory advice, including foreign investment approvals.
• Support government procurement, public‑sector contracting and privacy/data governance matters.
• Conduct legal research, client advisory work and strategic risk management.

Required profile

• Australian‑qualified lawyer with experience in corporate and commercial law.
• Demonstrated experience in one or more areas such as corporate transactions, commercial contracting, governance, regulatory or public‑sector advisory work.
• Strong drafting, technical and analytical abilities.
• Commercial mindset with a practical approach to problem‑solving.
• Excellent organisational skills and ability to manage competing priorities.
