Coordinator, Justice System Coordination and Reform

About the role

The Department of Justice and Community Safety is recruiting a Coordinator for its Justice System Coordination and Reform (JSCR) group, based in Melbourne. The JSCR group supports the Attorney-General and the ministers in delivering court services policy, civil and criminal law policy and legislative reform, working with key entities across the justice system. This is a fixed-term, full-time position until 8 October 2027, paid $100,894-$114,476 per year plus super.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate regular and urgent reports, gather information and meet tight deadlines
• Plan ahead for quarterly and annual reports so teams can prepare
• Improve work processes to make tasks simpler, faster and more accurate
• Manage office tasks such as emails, ministerial letters, meeting requests and online pages
• Work with teams across the department to solve problems and support shared goals

Required profile

• No mandatory qualifications; work experience and practical skills are used instead
• Project experience, including managing complex tasks and tracking progress
• Strong relationship skills and the care needed to handle sensitive or private information
• Problem-solving ability and teamwork
• Flexibility and sound judgement to manage changing priorities in a busy workplace
