Consultant Obstetrician & Gynaecologist – Regional Victoria

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Obstetrician & Gynaecologist to join a leading regional public health service in Victoria, located about 90 minutes from Melbourne. This permanent full‑time consultant role offers a broad clinical practice within an established O&G department and close collaboration with the Clinical Director and multidisciplinary team.

Key responsibilities

• Provide permanent full‑time consultant obstetrics and gynaecology services.
• Deliver a broad range of obstetric and gynaecological care to local and surrounding communities.
• Collaborate closely with the Clinical Director and senior medical team.
• Work within a supportive multidisciplinary environment alongside experienced medical, nursing and allied health professionals.
• Participate in teaching and supervision of junior medical staff.
• Contribute to clinical governance, service improvement and the development of the regional referral service.

Required profile

• FRANZCOG and AHPRA specialist registration, or eligibility for FRANZCOG within the next six months.
• Appropriate specialist experience in obstetrics and gynaecology.
• Strong clinical and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
• Commitment to high‑quality, patient‑centred care.
• Interest in teaching, supervision and ongoing professional development.
