Dispensary Technician – Pharmacy Support

About the role

The Dispensary Technician will work under the supervision of a qualified pharmacist to prepare medications and process prescriptions for patients and customers. The role places a strong emphasis on managing the Webster‑pack (dose administration aid) service, requiring high accuracy and effective communication.

Key responsibilities

• Accurately pack Webster‑packs, organise incoming scripts and liaise with doctors, carers and other medical professionals.
• Assist the pharmacist with general dispensing duties and provide customer service to patients.
• Handle everyday pharmacy technical tasks including ordering medications, stationery and consumables, and managing stock levels.

Required profile

• Certificate II in Community Pharmacy (or equivalent).
• S2/S3 qualifications and a current driver’s licence (desirable).
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to build professional relationships with medical practitioners, carers and patients.
• Flexible, engaged and responsive attitude in a dynamic environment.

Required skills

• Attention to detail and accuracy in medication handling.
• Strong communication skills for liaising with healthcare professionals.
