Communications and Engagement Manager

About the role

Anglicare Sydney is seeking an experienced Communications & Engagement Manager to lead strategic communications, internal communications, community engagement, reputation management and change across its Seniors Communities portfolio.

Key responsibilities

• Lead integrated communications and engagement strategies across Seniors Communities, including resident, council and stakeholder communications.
• Shape internal, executive, resident and customer communications and support Development Application (DA) and State Significant Development Application (SSDA) projects.
• Facilitate community forums, manage communications during development and construction phases, and build strong relationships with residents, councils and community groups.
• Develop and execute content strategy and storytelling across digital, print, social and customer channels.
• Provide expertise in change, reputation and crisis communications while coaching and developing a dedicated communications and engagement team.

Required profile

• 8+ years’ experience in communications, engagement, PR, content or brand roles.
• Strong strategic communications and stakeholder influencing capability.
• Experience navigating complex or sensitive community engagement environments, preferably in property, construction, DA or SSDA projects.
• Exceptional writing, facilitation, presentation and storytelling skills.
• Relevant tertiary qualification in Communications, Marketing, PR, Journalism or a related discipline.
