Commercial Sales Engineer

About the role

Datadog is looking for a Commercial Sales Engineer in Sydney. Sales Engineers help qualify and close opportunities with customers and partners, giving technical expertise through sales presentations, product demonstrations and support of technical evaluations (POCs). They also advise the product team on feature priorities and act as an ambassador for the brand.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with the sales team to explain Datadog's value proposition, vision and strategy to customers
• Deliver product and technical presentations to potential clients
• Collaborate with the product team on feature requests
• Help clients onboard the product and overcome roadblocks
• Think creatively about technical challenges throughout the pre-sales cycle
• Resolve customer concerns, escalate bug issues and represent the brand

Required profile

• Knowledgeable and experienced with DevOps monitoring or architecture tools
• Confident delivering technical presentations and demos to external customers or internal teams
• Able to think creatively about a wide range of challenges
• Previously experienced in systems administration (Windows or Linux)
• Able to sit up to 4 hours travelling to client sites, and to travel by car, train or air up to 25% of the time
