Commercial Manager - Queensland

About the role

A large-scale operation in Queensland is looking for a Commercial Manager with full accountability for performance, people and profitability. The client manages a significant workforce and asset base and wants a commercially astute operational leader who can balance strategic leadership with hands-on oversight during a period of growth and change.

Key responsibilities

• Lead a large-scale operational business unit with full P&L accountability.
• Drive commercial performance, revenue growth and operational efficiency.
• Champion a high-performing safety culture across the workforce.
• Lead, coach and develop leaders and frontline teams.
• Strengthen customer relationships and ensure service excellence.
• Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
• Deliver business objectives across operational, financial and customer metrics.
• Partner with executive leadership to support broader business strategy.

Required profile

• Proven operational leader with experience managing complex, multi-disciplinary teams in industrial services, logistics, transport, infrastructure, manufacturing, environmental services or related sectors.
• Demonstrated experience leading large operational teams and a track record of improving operational performance.
• Strong commercial acumen with P&L responsibility.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills.
• Collaborative yet accountable leadership style, with the ability to influence at both frontline and executive levels.
• Comfortable leading through change and responding to the daily challenges of a large-scale operation.
