About the role

The University of Adelaide seeks a Clinical Skills Lead to drive the Graduate Certificate in Pharmacy Prescribing. In this part‑time, continuing position you will shape pharmacist consulting education, ensuring graduates acquire the clinical reasoning, communication and examination abilities required for safe, high‑quality patient care.

Key responsibilities

• Design and deliver clinical skills teaching and simulation‑based learning for pharmacy prescribing students.
• Lead assessment development and coordinate practical examinations.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary academic and clinical teams to integrate curriculum content.
• Mentor and support learners, fostering confidence and competence in prescribing practice.
• Contribute to the growth and continuous improvement of pharmacy services within the university.

Required profile

• Qualified medical professional (MBBS, MD or equivalent) with extensive clinical experience.
• Proven track record in health education, patient assessment and clinical reasoning.
• Strong communication, organisational and teamwork abilities.
• Passion for advancing pharmacist prescribing and supporting learner success.

Required skills

• Experience with online learning management systems.
• Proficiency in simulation‑based learning environments.
