Senior Lecturer in Nursing (Full‑time)

About the role

The School of Nursing and Midwifery at Adelaide University seeks a Senior Lecturer to lead teaching, research and clinical practice within undergraduate and postgraduate nursing programmes.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, deliver and coordinate nursing courses across undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
• Contribute to research activities, secure external funding, and supervise higher degree by research (HDR) candidates.
• Participate in curriculum design, course writing and accreditation processes.

Required profile

• Current registration or eligibility for registration as a Registered Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia.
• Bachelor of Nursing (or equivalent) plus postgraduate qualifications, including a PhD relevant to nursing.
• Demonstrated senior academic experience in teaching undergraduate, preregistration and postgraduate nursing programmes.
• Proven record of research excellence, publications, and ability to obtain competitive external funding.
• Experience supervising coursework and HDR/PhD candidates to successful completion.
• Strong interpersonal communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with students, industry, and community stakeholders.
