Lecturer in Nursing (Level B, Balanced Academic)

About the role

Adelaide University’s School of Nursing and Midwifery is seeking a dedicated nursing academic to join its full‑time, balanced teaching and research team. The role involves developing and delivering undergraduate and postgraduate nursing programmes while contributing to the school’s research profile.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, deliver and coordinate courses across undergraduate and postgraduate nursing programmes.
• Support innovative curriculum development and employ contemporary teaching practices across multiple delivery modes.
• Contribute to the school’s research activities through collaborative projects, scholarly outputs, HDR student supervision and industry engagement.

Required profile

• Current registration or eligibility for registration as a Registered Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia.
• Bachelor of Nursing (or equivalent) plus relevant postgraduate qualifications, including a PhD relevant to nursing.
• Demonstrated expertise in contemporary nursing practice and understanding of national and global health policies.
• Proven experience teaching undergraduate, preregistration and postgraduate nursing students, including curriculum development and course design.
• Experience using simulation and hybrid teaching technologies in nursing education.
• Ability to engage effectively with students, industry, government and community stakeholders.
• Evidence of emerging research contributions, publications, HDR supervision and involvement in grant applications.
