Sessional Lecturer – Early Childhood Education (Adelaide)

About the role

We are seeking a passionate sessional lecturer to deliver Early Childhood Education courses at our Adelaide campus. The role involves both face-to-face and online teaching, offering flexible class times to suit your schedule.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver course content and facilitate engaging learning experiences on‑campus and digitally.
• Assess student work within set timeframes and maintain required standards.
• Participate in weekly subject forums, moderation and benchmarking activities.
• Communicate student issues to the Head of Faculty and contribute to faculty meetings.
• Develop and maintain positive relationships with stakeholders to ensure smooth delivery of subject material.

Required profile

• PhD or Master’s qualification in Early Childhood Education or a closely related field.
• At least 2 years (preferably 5 years or more) of professional experience in the discipline.
• Demonstrated passion for education and strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Experience in teaching or tutoring is desirable.

Required skills

• Knowledge of higher education requirements and industry standards.
• Familiarity with contemporary developments in Early Childhood Education.
• Ability to design and assess learning activities for diverse student cohorts.
