Civil Team Lead

About the role

A great opportunity for an experienced Civil Designer / Team Leader who enjoys land development, likes having plenty happening at once, and wants genuine responsibility for a civil drafting team. Based in an excellent South Brisbane location, you will lead the civil drafting division across multiple subdivision projects.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate the civil drafting/design team.
• Manage multiple land development and subdivision projects, overseeing high‑quality 12D design.
• Review designs, maintain drafting standards, and ensure compliance across roads, drainage, earthworks and related infrastructure.
• Coordinate workloads, deadlines and project priorities while liaising with engineers, project managers, clients and authorities.
• Mentor and develop less experienced designers and help improve systems and overall performance of the division.

Required profile

• Strong 12D capability and solid land development/subdivision experience.
• Experience with MUSIC and DRAINS (highly regarded).
• Ability to lead and mentor civil designers and drafters.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, good organisational and project coordination skills.
• Collaborative personality with a sense of humour.
