Civil Site Supervisor

About the role

Hitachi Rail is seeking an enthusiastic, self‑motivated Civil Site Supervisor for a 2:1 FIFO position based in Karratha, rotating through Perth. You will oversee daily on‑site civil construction activities, ensuring safety, quality, and schedule compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate all civil works, including earthworks, foundations, concrete structures, drainage, and paving.
• Implement and enforce health, safety, and environmental regulations and Hitachi policies on site.
• Monitor project progress, identify issues, and take corrective actions to maintain timelines.
• Conduct regular site inspections to ensure work meets specifications, drawings, and quality standards.
• Manage site personnel, subcontractors, and vendors, fostering a collaborative environment.
• Prepare daily and weekly progress reports documenting activities, resource utilisation, and deviations.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience supervising civil construction on large‑scale industrial or infrastructure projects.
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, local building codes, and HSE best practices.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal abilities.
• Valid driver’s licence and willingness to travel to multiple project sites.

Required skills

• Proficiency with project management software.
• Advanced use of Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and construction plans.
