Chef de Partie - Part-Time

About the role

Green Island Resort, located 27 km offshore from Cairns, Queensland, is seeking a skilled and motivated Chef de Partie for a permanent part-time role. You will support the resort's on-site food outlets, delivering high-quality dishes and strong service standards under the guidance of the Sous Chef, for both resort and day-tour guests.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee a designated section of the kitchen during service, as directed by the Sous or Executive Chef
• Prepare and cook dishes to the resort's standards across the restaurant, café and buffet, keeping quality and presentation consistent
• Take part in daily kitchen operations, keep the work area clean and organised, help with inventory management and support the kitchen team with other tasks
• Help the Executive Chef and Sous Chef create menu items, recipes and dishes
• Comply with food and workplace health and safety regulations and follow safe work procedures

Required profile

• Cert IV in Commercial Cookery (minimum)
• Able to commit to a flexible roster including evenings, weekends and public holidays
• Team player with a positive attitude and commitment to excellence
