Chef de Partie – Casual Kitchen Role

About the role

Minor International is seeking a skilled and reliable Chef de Partie to join the kitchen team at AVANI Cypress Lakes Resort and AVANI WELL on a casual basis. The role supports smooth kitchen operations while maintaining high standards of food quality, presentation, and hygiene.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in preparing and cooking meals to the highest standard, following recipes and maintaining consistency.
• Collaborate with fellow kitchen team members to ensure smooth daily operations across breakfast, lunch, and dinner services.
• Plate and present dishes beautifully, adhering to brand standards.
• Support the Chef in Charge with back‑of‑house roster preparation.
• Oversee stock control and ensure safe storage of food and supplies.
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene across all kitchen areas, equipment, and storage.
• Contribute to new menu development in partnership with the Head Chef.

Required profile

• Certificate III in Cookery qualification.
• Previous experience in a similar role within a hotel or restaurant environment.
• Strong knowledge of various cooking procedures and methods.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Positive, proactive attitude and genuine passion for cooking.
• Flexibility to work across all service periods, including weekends and public holidays.
