Casual Personal Care Worker (Aged Care & Disability)

About the role

HenderCare is seeking an experienced Personal Care Worker to join its team on a casual basis, supporting aged care and disability clients in their homes across Melbourne Metro. The worker attends multiple clients' homes and works short shifts of 1 to 3 hours per client.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with personal care such as bathing, showering, toileting, dressing, medication management and bed transfers.
• Support service recipients in accessing appointments or recreational activities, and monitor and report on their progress, health and other issues.
• Provide domestic assistance such as cooking and basic house cleaning.

Required profile

• Minimum qualification in Disability or Aged Care (Cert III/IV).
• Previous experience providing personal care, community access and domestic assistance.
• Australian driver's licence, own car and comprehensive insurance.
• Own reliable smartphone to access the AlayaCare app.

Required skills

• Current National Police Check
• Current NDIS Worker Screening Check
• Current Working With Children Check (employee type)
• First Aid (HLTAID011) and CPR (HLTAID009) certificate
• Manual Handling (HLTWHS005) certificate
