About the role
The Fresh Collective is hiring a casual Level 3 chef for Miss Pearl Bar & Dining, located within the Melbourne Theatre Company at Southbank. The kitchen prepares an Asian-inspired seasonal menu in a fast-paced setting and also cooks dishes for a wide range of functions and events held at the MTC. The position is casual, with shifts on Wednesday to Saturday evenings.
Key responsibilities
- Work closely with the team to ensure efficient food production and quality control
- Maintain the highest standards of presentation and quality
- Prepare dishes for the seasonal menu and for events and functions
Required profile
- Experience in a fast-paced restaurant or events environment
- Sound knowledge of kitchen operations, food safety and hygiene standards
- Excellent communication skills
- A passion for cooking, adaptability and eagerness to learn new skills
- Valid Australian work rights
