Business Development Manager

About the role

Commify is seeking a seasoned Business Development Manager to drive new customer acquisition across the region. This pure new‑business role focuses on building a pipeline from scratch, targeting enterprise and mid‑market accounts, and closing high‑value deals for our CPaaS platform.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and qualify target accounts, mapping key decision‑makers and executing strategic cold‑outreach, networking and prospecting campaigns.
• Lead end‑to‑end sales cycles, from initial contact and tailored pitch presentations through negotiation and contract execution.
• Develop compelling proposals and sales materials that clearly articulate the value of Commify’s CPaaS solutions.
• Maintain accurate records of sales activities, pipeline status and client interactions using CRM software and provide regular reports to management.
• Achieve and exceed monthly and quarterly gross profit and revenue targets.

Required profile

• Proven track record of new‑business development in a CPaaS or telco environment, closing enterprise or mid‑market B2B sales.
• Strong experience in lead generation, prospecting and managing the full sales cycle.
• Ability to engage stakeholders at all levels, from operational contacts to senior decision‑makers.
• Eligible to work in Australia.

Required skills

• Deep knowledge of CPaaS platforms and related communication channels (SMS, RCS, mobile journeys).
• Proficiency with CRM software for pipeline management and reporting.
• Fluency in AI‑enabled tools such as generative text/image platforms, enterprise copilots and automated analytics.
