Business Development Director

About the role

The Business Development Director will partner with the Director of Sales to grow hotel occupancy, conference bookings and overall revenue. This dynamic position involves leading the Sales & Marketing team and building strong relationships with corporate partners and event planners.

Key responsibilities

• Manage daily sales activities, coach the team and ensure targets are met.
• Develop and execute sales plans that increase occupancy, average rates, and food & beverage sales.
• Identify and negotiate partnerships with airlines, tour operators and travel agencies.
• Organise media launches, familiarisation tours and networking events to raise hotel visibility.
• Produce monthly performance reports and track progress against goals.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in marketing or a related field.
• Three or more years of hospitality sales and marketing experience, preferably with supervisory responsibilities.
• Strong knowledge of local business trends and ability to manage multiple stakeholders.
• Full working rights in Australia without restrictions.
