Business Consultant – Hybrid (Brisbane)

About the role

The Business Consultant will join Mr. Smith’s Brisbane team, working in a hybrid model that blends on‑site collaboration with flexible home‑office days. Reporting to senior leadership, you will help shape the brand’s market position by analysing performance and delivering actionable recommendations.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct financial and operational analyses to identify growth opportunities.
• Prepare business cases and support strategic projects across product, sales and education functions.
• Facilitate workshops and meetings, documenting requirements and designing process improvements.
• Collaborate with leadership to track key performance indicators, report outcomes and support decision‑making.

Required profile

• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and translate insights.
• Proven consulting or management‑consulting experience, preferably in consumer products, beauty or fashion.
• Excellent communication skills for presenting findings to diverse stakeholders.
• Sound understanding of finance, including budgeting, forecasting and business‑case evaluation.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience in a fast‑paced, creative or brand‑led environment and ability to work both on‑site and remotely.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency with spreadsheets (e.g., Excel).
• Strong skills in presentation tools (e.g., PowerPoint).
• Experience with data‑visualisation software.
• Familiarity with CRM or ERP systems (advantageous).
