Behaviour Support Practitioner

About the role

Join Ability Action Australia as a Positive Behaviour Support Practitioner, helping NDIS participants achieve greater independence and confidence. You will work hands‑on with participants, families and a multidisciplinary team to create and deliver evidence‑based support plans.

Key responsibilities

• Evaluate, develop and deliver evidence‑based behaviour support plans.
• Create meaningful goals using a positive behaviour support framework.
• Build capacity among participants, families, carers and support workers.
• Champion the reduction and elimination of restrictive practices.

Required profile

• Degree in allied health or a related field.
• Experience reading, implementing, reviewing or creating behaviour support plans.
• NDIS Behaviour Support Practitioner status (or willingness to obtain registration).
• Passion for disability support and experience with complex behaviours.

Required skills

• Knowledge of positive behaviour support frameworks.
• Ability to develop and document support plans.
