Banking Consultant – Retail Branch (Sydney)

About the role

As a Banking Consultant in ANZ’s Retail Banking division, you will deliver a seamless branch experience by addressing customers’ full range of banking needs, from transactions to digital solutions. You will act as a role model and peer coach, helping the team provide the highest level of service and fostering strong customer advocacy.

Key responsibilities

• Provide customers with a seamless branch experience, covering transactions, needs‑based conversations and digital education.
• Act as a role model and peer coach within a collaborative team to deliver the best possible customer experience.
• Contribute to a significant uplift in customer engagement and advocacy, creating real customer value.
• Participate in and support bank programs and initiatives.
• Take responsibility for ‘know your customer’ from a risk perspective.
• Ensure compliance with ANZ and branch policies and procedures.

Required profile

• Exceptional customer focus; retail experience is an advantage.
• Experience using and promoting technology, with familiarity in digital channels.
• Ability to multitask and adapt to change and ambiguity.
• Willingness to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Sound understanding of compliance requirements.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
